New Sway bar drop-links installed
Just had the new style drop links installed, by the dealer, under warranty, yesterday.
The swaybars were a bit noisy and getting worse, so I mentioned this to my dealer a couple of weeks ago. He agreed and pointed out that Porsche re-engineered the drop links since my car had been made so they replaced all 4 corners with the new style part.
It seems to makes a big difference. The noise is gone and it's 'vault-solid' again.
If you have an earlier 997 (sorry, I do not know the cut-off) and your swaybars are 'clanking' over rough road surfaces (or small dips) then you may be able to get these new drop-links fitted under warranty.
I hope this info helps.
Cheers,
