But not to GT models from Porsche and if AMG would be serious about winning and getting loyalty from Porsche GT customers, they should produce less to minimise depreciation.

I find these depreciation discussions a bit strange. I am the happy owner of a 911 Turbo, R8 and AMG GTC-C. If you are into these cars you know in advance before buying you are going to be faced with hefty depreciation. Even my 911 Turbo Convertible will lose a lot of money in the first 2 years. So, if you buy a car like this you better be ready to keep them for a number of years, or you know you lose a lot of money. Making money on cars (your hobby) is only possible for a few cars and not for these “not so special” but nice sportscars.

Depreciation only hurts if you keep these cars for a short while only.
I paid 254k EUR (after discount) for my Huracan Performante.
I plan to drive the car for at least four years and then I'll see (depending on reliability, my desire for a new car or whatever). I doubt that after four years or ownership and around 30000 km (I have almost 13000 km now), the car's value will drop below 180k EUR. So no big deal in my opinion. I had my fun.

Ouchie Ouch.
I have to agree with him though: The look is extreme (which wouldn't be the main issue for me though) but the price is not silly, it is insane...for car which isn't even limited.
The more I look now at used AMG GT R prices, the more I like this car. It also sounds way better than the Black Series.
I added the AMG GT R to my list of possible daily driver choices when my GLC 63S AMG goes end of next year. Seriously. Already on this list: Tesla 3 Performance, G63 AMG, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Carlos from Spain:If that is the case then it's funny that neither of the two fastest cars on the ring are mid-engined sportscars
You want the handling to feature stability more than anything else on that track at those speeds...

The MR is 6'40", should be well below 6'43" then?

I"d love to see three lap averages of all of those cars. I would have to bet that the SVJ isn't doing a 6:45 on the third lap.
