    I have no issues in Lambo offering these kind os SE models. IMO it is better for later car values, even though they make many of them. Overall the model production numbers stay the same but a regular Lambo you speced, while special to you, is actually just a regullar one in the sea of others.

    That and it is cheaper for the factory to make them all the same

    Gallardo LP560-4 costs 173740€ with Mwst. in Germany. Of course, LP550-2 Balboni is better equiped but, price wise with the same equipment they are on the same level(LP550-2 marginally more expensive).

    I am very interested in new LP550-2, at least to try it. Manual version should be something to drive IMHO.

    The economic crisis may be over for banks and large companies...for most people, especially those who are employed, it is just starting in my opinion. I have the feeling that 2010 will be the year of MASSIVE layoffs worldwide, causing an economical stagnation for some time because people won't spend that much money anymore. Right now, I rather get the feeling that nothing happened...yet...but it will change, most people just don't seem to realize it.

    If you want to buy a car for a good price...or a house...or whatever...2010 may be the year to do that.

    I may be wrong but looking around me, I don't think so.

    I still don't get the purpose of this car: if they would sell it for lets say 20000 EUR less, it could make sense. Otherwise, not really. Limited edition? 250 are not quite limited, unless they are REALLY special (which I can't see). Am I missing something ?!

     I think Lamborghini's philosophy is to make as many "limited editions" as possible as the standard models don't sell too well. Lamborghini floods the market with so many derivatives of the standard models that no customer (or buyer on the secondary market) will be able to keep track... Of course, this does imply that limited editions have a similar resale value as all other versions of the Gallardo or Murcielago.

    I would even say these special editions have a worse resale value than the standard cars. Because many of these so called limited editions are totally overpriced by Lamborghini and worse, shortly after introduction many if not all of these "extras" can be ordered for the standard model for a cheaper price. Smiley

    I agree, the odd side-track limited editions aren't worth more than the normal Gallardo. Look what happened with the SE/Nera Gallardo from the previous generation. I forgot they existed until this discussion was brought up.

     It is a real shame as the Lamborghini cars are of quite good quality these days. In terms of model strategy and timing of product life cycles Ferrari follows the far better approach Smiley
