    Jaguar CF-X

This is what Jaguar will show in Detroit...

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

    ...and more.

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Kreso I have been told (by my uncle), those are the concept pics (as you already know)..

The official car is not like that, he said me there where some pics taken and they where invited to delete them, to not cause any future problems .

But the real car nothing has to do with that concept, at least that is what i have been told !

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Yes, this is a concept. But, this is what Jaguar will show in Detroit! No REAL CF-X before autumn 2007...
BTW, I do not like this concept CF-X.

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Jaguar are really struggling to find a new design language that lets them get rid of the retro styling. This concept doesn't do anything for me personally as it lacks memorable styling cues and will date very quickly as a result. It looks like a cross between the Ford Iosis concept and the Aston Martin Rapide with a bizarre grille stuck to the front IMHO.

I also thought the concept was bordering Rapide ideas.

The front looks terrible IMO. Looks like a Hyundai...

So is this the car (as a concept of course) that will replace the current Jaguar S-type?

They said, that Jaguar is seeking for a new design and that the new car will depart radically from the current S-type design.
But I never thought the difference would be that radical.

    I don't like it BTW.

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Stefan, I agree with you regarding BIG change in style in comparison with current S-Type. New design is for me simply ...
I guess that Jaguar wants to see public reaction and then to make final regarding future FX design...

BTW, I like new XK, specially XKR version. It features IMHO the best current automatic gearbox on the market.

    Quo Vadis Jaguar

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

am i the only one who think it looks nice? i like it and i cant think of a sedan that looks so sporty

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

From side , it looks like XK, from front it is a SEAT LEON

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

It doesn't look like a Jag

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Where all else fails, make it look like an Aston. Well
I think it has pinched some ideas from the AM, looking at the side that is.

However, it's not for me. The profile of the bonnet/hood doesn't work for me and the grille...nah not for me.

    Can't agree more Kreso..."Quo vadis"

A close friend of mine and a brilliant car developer engenieer, worked very activly in the "S" concept for years....

You can't imagine the horrifying histories I heard about how a "Project" is developed inside a "serious" company (and not only in Jag).

So, making "Concept cars", means nothing more than a "Kit car"....not even that, just only some pics...and in this case, they are really pathetic: a strange mixture between a japeneese car, an Aston and a seat Leon (I relly agree all of you).....

I'm an owner of a Jaguar, and this is not nice to me, but I feel, they lost their way...too many Ford Modeo chassis, etc. and under a budget....

Where is the good British engeeniering???!!!!

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

I agree that from the side, it looks very much like the Rapide (which is good). But Jaguar is struggling with the front of their cars. There is a strange, not quite right look about the XK as well.

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

I notice the same problems with the fronts of their cars

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

Jaguar will never use a old Citroen steering wheel

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

First thing I thought when I saw it was "Buick"

    Scion anyone?

    Re: Jaguar CF-X

    From Autoexpress:

"To find out everything about the car we talked to the man responsible, Design Director Ian Callum, in this exclusive video."

The road car is due to be officially revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and there will be only a few visual changes from this concept. Smaller wheels and the removal of details such as the chrome front splitter and rear venturi tunnels are likely.
