    F430 SCUDERIA

Monthly Newsletter sent by ferrari owners site.

    The Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Michael Schumacher will officially unveil the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coupé and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari's Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars.

The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.

The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the standard F430 - and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm.

Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest F1 software - Superfast - which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.

Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari's achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars.

The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher on September 11 2007 at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.

wow, finally.. But I think that weight figure isn't totally accurate, I bet it weighs more.

I can't believe i'm the first one to reply to this thread, SO long suckers!

So just how DRY are the cars when Ferrari weigh them?
Is it before they put the paint on?

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

Thanks for the info and pics!

    Awsome car indeed.

Personally, I do not like wheels. They could look good on Impreza but, here on F430 Scuderia they look little too ricer IMHO...

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

Not bad, not bad at all.

    60ms shifting time is impressive.

With 1250kg they mean dry weight, since the F430 weighs around 1450kg without the driver. So expect a weight figure of around 1350 to 1400kg.

Interior looks great, better than in the Challenge Stradale IMO, but they've overdone the exterior a little bit if you ask me. The front bumber is fine, rear perhaps a little bit busy but still alright, but golden rims in combination with that strange stripe?

Just a little bit over the top, better to order it without the stripe.

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

    WOW I'm in looooove!!

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

    Stefan,
Are you thinking about getting one

IMO it is pretty impressive car(as is new 997 GT2 as well).

Well Kreso, I have to admit, I'm tempted.

But actually that's not really my type of car, neither the Challenge Stradale, nor the GT-Porsches (except for the Carrera GT ).

Surely it's well made, but as I said before, just a little bit too much for me. Too many stripes/air vents/gadgets at the outside, too much hardcore in the interior.

    But nevertheless it's very impressive.

Titanium colored wheels a la Audi would be a perfect solution...

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

I have just called to Ferrari of Brazil... They dindt have the price yet, but here they will think about R$1.450.000 (U$727.000)... An regular F430 costs about U$600.000 here. Brazil sux for the price of the cars.

Titanium wheels and without the stripe. PS anybody?

If you ask me that happens, if the designers create something, just to be different. "Hey, we can't give the Scuderia titanium wheels, let's try golden ones. And the beautiful stripe of the CS is not repeatable, how about if we try a grey one as the one on my Honda Civic?"

So that would be a price increase over 20 percent in comparison to the F430. I guess in Europe we can expect a price between 190 and 195k, but I said that before.

Anybody noticed the new settings on the manettino?
No more "ICE" but something new between "RACE" and "CST OFF".

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

I like it except the wheels. Also the speedo and dashboard is really nice designed........

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

Those wheels look quite a "bit" inspired in porsche's GT3 and GT2 wheels! Curious!! :P

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

Also notice the F1 lights on the steering wheel?

This poses a problem for those of us expectng the 430 replacement in Sept 08. How can Ferrari introduce another model within a few months which I assume will out perform the Scuderia. If it does not then the replacement will be underpowered and under performing. Not a good sign.

I am very concerned that the replacement is going to be compromised.

They look like they were taken from an 1982 mercedes S-class used in Miami Vice.

Gold rims? Come on... Modena is not in florida for god sake. What were they thinking? I'm sure jean todt has something to do with it. Come to think about it, the car will be presented by schumi who owns a white 599GTB with blackened rear lights and shiny wheels. Who's responsible is the $100,000 question.

Really cool car though. But get the 360 stradale wheels on this baby.

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

its not the first time that Ferrari uses "golden" wheels, for me the color its not the problem , but the design , which is more Maserati style.... if it was me dark grey wheels.

Seems like a setting without stability control, just traction. Should be optimal for track use by very good drivers. The pros can even squeeze more without the traction.

On a side note, I'm sure glad they scrapped the "light pista" name. However, I think the aesthetics are a bit excessive. I loved how the 360CS was a bit more of a sleeper to the average viewer (see M3, M5 progression as well)...

lol you are going to be very disappointed this time next year there has been no indication from any source that a replacement will be out next year.

    Re: F430 SCUDERIA

    Bye bye superleggera.

This car looks & will perform amazingly!!!
