The King is dead, long live the King!!
I would go for the Tiptronic. The biggest reason is the difference from 0-100, and especially 0-200. (And I live in a city)
0-200 in 12.2 seconds with a 5-speed auto is unreal!!![]()
That means that my mom, in a 997 Turbo Tiptronic, would probably faster than me, in Carrera GT, from 0-200...![]()

But the CGT from 0-200 is 9.9 seconds.![]()

Now the question is: how many of you are going for Tiptronic instead of manual because of the better performance? 0.6 seconds from 0-125 mph are a word and don't forget one thing: the 3.7 seconds (from 0-62 mph) value can be ALWAYS achieved with Tiptronic, the 3.9 seconds with manual can only be achieved if the driver really is lucky and a good shifter.

Manual of course!
I'll always put driving pleasure before numbers.
If you're after performance and nothing else, then of course tiptronic. All you have to do is put your foot down!
The fact that the tip is so good in terms of perf might further delay the into of PDK, probably til the GT3RS.
