    Ferrari Roma

    IMG_2942.jpg IMG_2949.jpg IMG_4111.jpg IMG_2935.jpg IMG_2952.jpg

I took delivery of my Roma a few weeks ago.

Love the light footwork and thinner steering wheel, that mimics 60s sports car feel, but hate missing the V12 sounds.

Also fits two small golf bags, has ventilated seats (ala Lusso but not available on 812), narrow width (for a Ferrari GT), and the car creeps forward when you let go of the brake (quite convenient in city driving for a Ferrari). Smiley

I think the journalists have written off this car too early.

Here are some photos by Watt's request.

    Gorgeous spec, congrats!

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Your Roma looks very elegant in this configuration. Enjoy and have fun with it!

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Very classy configuration, it looks fantastic.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Congratulations. Its a great package. I enjoyed the demo I drove for a few days but in typical Ferrari style the tech interface let it down.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Congrats!  It's a great driving car, but beware of the infotainment center.  The bluetooth on mine keep dropping connection.  Took it back to upgrade system once but it did not fix it (but it fixed the spontaneous screen goes blank problem).  Will do annual service soon and see what they can do.  I may not keep this car too long due to this problem.yes

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Thanks for the compliments. Wanted keep this toned down as I wanted to drive it daily.

Tim, I have the exact same issue of bluetooth dropping and the dealer says there is a new bulletin out for software update of the infotainment.  This was like this from day 1.  Comes with owning an Italian car I guess. Smiley

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Haha!  Bluetooth???  Ive never turned the radio/stereo/info on in any sports car PORSCHE or Ferrari, why do you guys need this modern inanity??  I'm clearly a dinosaur, so wouldn't understand your explanations any hoo.

Jean -- nicely done, I love the interior.kiss

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Thanks Watt, the Blu Sterling and Sabbia leather match well with the car.  Also pat on my back for going with blue calipers instead of yellow. Smiley

Roma is very quiet compared to my Pista or V12 Ferrari.  It's nice to enjoy music when you cruise or stuck in traffic.  I also ticked the JBL and ADAS option.  Sacrilege, right? smiley

    Re: Ferrari Roma

    Haha Guys!

I get it - can hardly recall city driving, my Strad gearbox overheating, Traffico Intenso taking all the fun outangry  Market hours always helped me, headed in from Malibu at 5.30 am and home at 2.30 pm.....

Certainly Roma, 612, SF, GTS best for Traffico.  Strad, Scud, Pista the open road.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

While I was at Nardo, I saw the upcoming Roma convertible up close and personal, and boy does it turn heads.

For those that's thinking about it, you might as well pull the trigger now. The rear deck treatment is basically perfect. Too small little hump. The top profile when up is very harmonious with the rest of the styling.

No pics, security was very tight about that, as not only VAG got cars there, but Aston, Mercedes, Ferrari, BMW, and others too. They had to go through all our drone footages frame by frame to see if we captured something that's not supposed to be there.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

I love the Roma coupe as a daily driver.  It's also my golf club express.  Fits two slim golf bags perfectly.

Was wondering if the convertible would make sense for this car, in terms of usability.  The soft top would probably not allow two golf bags to fit?

    Re: Ferrari Roma

Presumably it's a hard top rather than soft top?

Looks to be semi hard, like the 911's top.

Didn't see it in action, only fully up and fully down. it's cloth.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

The spider is a soft top. This development car was spotted at the factory a while back and these phot's show the modest humps on the rear deck lid.

    Re: Ferrari Roma

The coupe is certainly nicer, but it's still a handsome car. The Roma is just a good overall design. kiss
