UK Range Price Comparator - note, some pricing on the 997 is incorrect - the detailed version shown above is the correct list.

This is simply to show indicative option pricing difference between 996 and 997.

What Spec have you gone for - you can see mine from the tics on the main options list...

When is your car due and which dealer have you chosen ?

997S
Flat Black, Carrera Classic wheels (dont like the standard 19" but I am coming round), Cruise control (to slow me down over long distances), sat nav (I like it in my wife's car),rear wiper and park assist (dealers recommendation, all UK 911's had rear wipers until now and Pounds350 is very little paint if you reverse into something).
I appreciate the spec is a little "soft" but I have had an XK8 up until now.

Dealer is JCT600 in Newcastle, a friend has used them for many years and I still don't know exactly when I will get the car, but I think about Octotber, I paid the deposit in May.
I am also considerig factory collect, but i will need to sort out a tracker for my insurance. I don't know if anyone has had that to do with a factory collect?

From the Price Range Comparator, it looks like full leather is standard on both the UK 997 and 997S. Is that right?

That i show i understand it, but there are some odd bits of leather like plastic that can be ordered as leather in addition, salesman pointed to soem samll areas around the air vents near the A pillar (on a 996 of course)

Oh I forgot, ordered a sand beige interior, almost grey, but after a comparison in the car park with leather swatches and black cars, it was sand beige.

Regarding the parking sensor, I think it's a good thing to have, but the only thing that puts me off is that it makes the rear bumper look messy with the sensors stuck on it. I'd rather take more time to park the car and keep the clean look at the back.

Also, I can't remember ever reversing into someone...

I agree entirely, but I have to let my wife drive the car and her present car has a rear parking camera, so she doesn't get the practice!

Looks like a good spec.....I'm still in two minds about the rear wiper... have till the end of December to decide on Spec... so it may get added.
