997 Mk2

Does anyone have any info on the face lift of the 997 and when it will be coming out?

There is no face lift on the 997 that we can have insight into. The 'facelift' was planned before the car was released. Having been a 911/Porsche driver of many decades, I can tell you that those things move slowly at Porsche,--I would be surprised to see a change by MY09.

Following past Porsche upgrade/freshening schedule every three years, I would estimate MY 08. My guess would be direct injection on engines (Porsche has been working in conjunction with Audi on this) and possibly PDK (sequntial automatic manual transmission). Porsche has been working on the PDK for some time but has had issues with the PDK because of the stress caused by the torque of the Turbo. It may be introduced in the Turbo first (next year) followed by intro to the rest of the Porsche line up.

My guess would be model year 09. If this is the case you could get one late 08. I would not wait 2+ years before ordering/buying one.

PDK will come out before the model refresh I reckon.

I agree with bstew... don't wait, you could be out enjoying it for 2 years and all P will do for 09 is change a fog light and add 7 hp, o and increase the price by a couple of Pounds/$.

thx for the info guys, its just i have a c4s now 997 and want to change end of year, cant get hold of a turbo right now Might b a gt3 if im lucky other wise another c4s
