creaking & groaning from the rear

I am becoming irritated by a creaking noise from the rear. It is especially apparent when driving slowly into driveways with a small curb - but I always hear it when just driving. Seems as though the added flexibility is just moving the leather seats in the back, causing a constant creaking/slipping leather sound which is really annoying. My turbo only has 2000 miles in it - I have had it for 3 months. Has anyone had similar problems with recent turbos? thanks!

There was a recall or service bullentin re: just what you are explaining. I believe that the fix was a quick spot weld to part of the rear section of the unibody. I'm sure that this is disturbing news, but I also heard that it not a big deal. Try not to sweat it. I know I would, so I am not trying to dismiss your concerns.

Thanks very much - it is a concern, don't expect it from a car like this - I will take it in asap, I hope I havent't damaged it.

Actually I have the same issue with my C4S though it doesn't drive me crazy. I only notice it when going slowly in and out of the driveway and occasionally when taking uneven pavement going at a crawl.

However, if there is an easy fix let me know.

Re: creaking & groaning from the rear

Any new news on this matter? I'm taking my car in on 8/2...

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re: creaking & groaning from the rear

Would take it in asap. Qreaking means that there is movement. In cars, trembling movements can easily lead to fatigue cracks in the metal structure. The sooner it gets repaired, the better.
