    All of our amateur reasoning aside: I'd rather have a car that's been broken in on 30 one hundred-mile trips, than a car driven on 6 trips of fivehundred miles each.

    i gave my car a drive of 500 kms on its first day. i did not exceed 4000 revs. after that i started flooring it in little bursts of accelleration and braking in order to settle the brakes as well. however not overdoing neither ie. braking too hard or reaching rev limits.

    after 1000 kms i drove it as hard as it goes.

    i think that the most important is to make sure engine is warm with all fluids at correct levls.

    these cars are made to be driven and not pampered.

    maay be you got me mistaken. Following the manual does not mean that they scared you.

    Of course i know the car wont break if i push it in the first km. But this has nothing to do with what i am saying here. I m saying that going by the book might result in some more HP after the break in period.Also in better torque deliverance.

    For the record my break in period is over. Now the car is ALWAYS driven until it reaches its rev limiter in every gear.

    Its fast yes, in my opinion could be faster.
    AS fot intouch1 that the most sure thing and the most important to get the engine warmed well every time you start your car. and watch after oil temp. a very important figure that the 996 lacked.

    When i push the car the temperature in the oil temp gauge reaches 120.
