    Porsche/Ferrari car show

The Yorkville Exotic Car Show was held today in Toronto. Money raised went to support Sick Kids Hospital. I thought I'd check it out and took some pics. There was a GT1, but lots of other nice stuff too, especially some nice classics. Enjoy:

I'll upload the Ferrari pics tomorrow... the site is really slow right now.

    Re: Porsche/Ferrari car show

Thanks for posting the pics Joe. I was there as well and was impressed by the number of cars for what I expected to be a lower key local "street meet".

Same guy owns both the .1 and .2 RS'. Picked up the .2 at the factory not long ago.

Also need to say that the 458 is much nicer in person as pictures do not do it justice.

Being relatively new to this "world" I am constantly impressed with the number of exotics in this fine city of ours.

A year or so ago, someone posted a pic of the green 997.1 GT3RS with the same plate on it, so I figured there was a relationship since they were side by side.

There was a yellow Diablo and an SLR on Avenue road... I guess they couldn't get in!Smiley

    Re: Porsche/Ferrari car show

... and a black Murci (?) at the corner of Hazelton. If the SLR was black, I think he passed me on the 401 on the way home

    Re: Porsche/Ferrari car show

Wonderful photos - which cars did you like the most? For character, nothing beats a vintage 911 IMHO. I also love the early 911 Turbos since they sum up the brash late 1980s/early 1990s when Wall Street was really booming. For sheer awe, I love the 997.2 GT3 RS. They are massively capable on the track.

The silver Ruf was great. I'm a huge fan of the 930 Turbos as well. After looking at the row of Ferrari's I think I spent the most time looking at the 355. The lines on those cars are simply amazing. Photos don't do them justice.

Hate to admit it but... me too. Plus, it's my favourite colour.

As long as I go to the track, it will be with a P car. After that, it will be time to explore Ferrari.

Not that Ferraris aren't great track tools, it's just that the price of admission is a bit steep Smiley

    Re: Porsche/Ferrari car show

Does anybody know the name of the color of those two 356s?

    1) last picture, grey 356 with red leather?

    2) third picture, blue, maybe Oslo blue?

GT3 in this colors could be amazing ...

    1996 GT1 class racing car.

As you say, it looks different to the 1997 GT1 racing car on which the road version was based.

    Re: Porsche/Ferrari car show

Guys - thanks for explanation. I was kind of irritated by the front lights, just had those in my mind:

And yep - that 996 GT1 has indeed a fantastic color, looks stunning!
