Yep, there seems to be an issue which can be resolved in Germany only to make sure the cars leave in a "proper" condition. This is all I got on this matter.
If it helps: there is no major quality problem/concern involved.

I will tell you the real reason - Porsche have fitted a device in the bonnet to ensure that it lifts up in the case of hitting a pedestrian. Its basically a dangerous goods item that explodes.
The original product had a problem and Porsche have been shipping out replacements to all regions. As far as I know the matter is pretty much resolved and cars should be only delayed a little for most regions (providing the car has already arrived at the destination - not sure about cars still at the origin).
