    Tyres are on back order!

    I need 2 new rear P Zero Rossos. I cant get them from anywhere!! All tyre fitters and my OPC say that they are on back order and they don't even know when they can get their hands on some. I now have my car off the road! Anyone else having this problem? What should I do?

    I heard that on another board. Switch to Michelin is an option.

    They are too mate!

    Only the conti's are available at the moment.

    Might check with Trundle here or MJones on Rennlist, think he just had an issue with the Pirelli and was able to get Michelin.

    the same problem in greece guys
    no bridgestones or ps2
    only conti's and from next monday
    what should i buy?

    I lost a rear Pzero in Texas in November
    Porsche hauled the car 90 miles back to Dallas, Tx
    They were unable to find one or two Pzeros in four days
    Had to buy four new PS2's
    --- Basically a $1,600 flat tire
    I think I would abandon the Pzero
    --- There must be a surplus of used front tires out there.

    This is the second time this has happened to me so this is a continuing problem.

    Are you prefering the PS2's to the P Zeros, how do they compare in your opinion.

    Of course they are out of stock. And you want to know why? Because my rear tires are worn out. Now I'll probably need to buy 4 Michelins instead of 2 Pirellis.

    Your OPC / Dealer should be able to sort this out.

    Here in the US, Porsche has priority when there tires are in short supply....
    a VIN is required to get replacements.

    Kinda sucks, you have to pay a bit more, at least you can get a tire.

    I found the Pilot Sport2 to be initially much quieter than the PZero's

    I have not had a track day since installing the Pilot Sport tire so can't comment on how they do in those conditions.

    I prefer the Pilot Sport2 over the Pzero after 4,000 miles of daily driving.

    I notice a post saying that dealers could get the PZeros's.
    But I have destroyed two rear Zero's
    The first time it took the dealer a week to get one.
    The second time the dealer ( In another State) could not get one at all.

    These shortages, they kinda make me critical of Porsche.

    I'll bet if you check into the workings of the tire industry you'd find there is a reason for the "shortage" which was quite predictable. Most likely this reason AND THE LIKELIHOOD of standing shortages was well known when Porsche decided to furnish the car without a spare.

    I had another car where getting tires was a problem; took a long time to locate and get new tires, but at least it came with a full sized spare.

    My OPC (W London) always carries PS2s. They need to order in the Continentals, Bridgestones and Pirellis. If I had had a puncture, I would much prefer to turn up and change them on the spot.
