    Limited Slip Differential soon a standard option?

    We just got this rumor in: apparently AMG plans to offer the LSD as a standard option on all AMG models starting with Model Year 2005! We don't have a confirmation yet for this rumor but it sounds pretty reasonable considering the fact that most AMG cars have a pretty bad traction.

    Right now, the LSD is only available for AMG cars as a retrofit option from AMG in Affalterbach/Germany directly.
    The LSD option is not available for the E500 and I'm not sure the E500 would really need it. I had a E500 loaner and although the traction isn't very good either, it isn't even close to be as bad as it is on the E55.

    Here in Norway you would need it We get about 1 meter of snow every year.
