    Porsche 997TT question and opinions welcome

    Guys,

    What do you think, would 997TT look and actually be much different than 997S as it was with 996TT and 996?

    Well since the 997 is already wider than a 996, the turbo wide body shouldn't be as dramatic a difference. Of course Porsche will make it easy to tell the difference and I think the car will probably look fantastic if the 997 is any indicator. However, it shouldn't be anything too outrageous. The GT2 will step further into that territory and it can be nice to have a turbo that you can order in gray and be somewhat low key if you want in one of the best performing cars on the planet.

    I've allways thought of the GT2 is a low-key exotic. The average person probably would have trouble distinguishing the Turbo from the Carrera and the turbo and GT2 in-turn have very similar design elements.

    i think they should do something to prevent idiots from putting an aerokit on the lower model and changing the badge.

    ie 996 C2/C4 to GT3, Turbo to GT2. etc etc

    hell, i've even seen GT3 on a boxster.

    the worst offenders are undoubtably mercedes /bmw owners, who are fond of slapping a 10$ ///m or ///amg badge on their cars ...

    evidently they got slapped with the [censored] stick, because usually they fail to replace anything else, including the other numbers and vairous other indicators.

    I think it should be a 4 seater coupe baby Carrera GT. It should have the same lines front, rear and sides but with a rear engine with not less than 500hp. Imagin it I think it would be great.

    As soon as you start to equip your car with AMG or M parts, you may IMHO be morally "allowed" to wear the according badge. But I hate to see AMG or M model badges (e.g. SL55 on a SL500 or E55 on a E200 etc.).

    E.g. I have a M-class with AMG bodykit, AMG 18" rims, AMG exhaust and AMG interior parts and I also have the AMG badge on that car. It is for sure not a ML55... but it has a lot of AMG parts. So why not wear their badge?

    because ///AMG and ///M cars are manufactuered by a different factory/company
