    This is the 997 Carrera S we're gonna take for a testdrive

    Just can't wait...next Monday.

    I think this angle shows the new proportions much better than on all the pictures I saw til now.

    Sorry for the picture quality but the car was pretty dirty, covered with dust.

    For some reason that picture looks a lot like a 993. Got any other pictures from different angles?

    This is exactly what I'm talking about. In reality, the 997 looks beautiful and very close to the 993 but also completely different.

    Finally...the key. On the other side, there is the Porsche badge. The key is pretty small and almost as light as a feather, very nice.

    Have fun RC!!

    After driving it, try to post what you liked and disliked about the 997.
    That 997 has sport seats!???. If the car comes with normal seats say me your opinion about how comfortable they are, cause finally the 997S I ordered has no sport seats.
    After testing it does the 996 sound similar to the 997"normal".??

    Quality is fine. The reflections from the garage windows do an excellent job of revealing the body's contours. This is a great photo really. Thanks RC.

    Wow RC,
    That black is stunning, and indeed, this angle is magnificent!
    It makes the 997 no longer look like a beetle (which it naturally doesn't, but the pics sometimes give that idea)

    Next saturday, or else the friday after it, I'll be visiting the dutch importer to take a look at the 997, and I must tell you, I can't wait!!!

    Looks awesome very nice color . Any specs on it yet? what type of suspensions or PASM and etc...?

    This picture looks way better than what I have seen so far in the pictures. The angle of the shot is very good and the entire car IS in proportion, indeed.

    I'm afraid this car has PASM and not the 20 mm suspension.
    Also no PSE yet. But it has the Chrono Sport Package Plus.

    And yes, the 997 Carrera S looks stunning in black.

    And wait, boy and girls, I have more for you: if we're lucky, we (Rennteam) gets some spectacular 997 pictures this weekend or next week. Surprise, surprise.

    And a little hint: you might see a specific 997 model here for the first time ever. I don't want to promise too much yet.

    Great picture, best angle that I have seen so far. The yellow PCCB's look great on a black car. Is that a full leather interior?

    Forgive my ignorance but why is the spoiler thing raised in one of the pictures? Doesn't it only emerge at high speeds?

    There's a button that manually raises the spoiler at any speed (or parked).

    RC,

    Do the doors now close with a reassuring 'THUNK'?

    I know the 996 doors when closed sound like a Chevy Malibu rental car!

    It would be nice to know that they addressed the build quality issue. Just from the look of things interior build quality has improved.

    The spoiler can be raised manually with a switch, like e.g. in the 996 and the CGT

    Thanks for the pictures, RC! I think these pictures confirm for me that, in my opinion, black is the best inerior colour. I like the black exterior too.

    Do you know if the black on this car is metallic or solid?

    IMO this is not too bad-- i'm really interested how PAG's active suspension is working. we already know that they are good in lowering vehicles

    If you have the 20mm lowered suspension, does taht mean you lose the active suspension? Does the 20mm lowered suspension have the limited slip differential?
