    Swiss Alps Tour

    Have been on holidays on Sardinia. After two weeks you like to go home because you miss your toys (said my daughter!).

    We had 35 degree (cent.) in Switzerland yesterday. I thought it's a good idea for a little cool down in the mountains. So I made a Swiss pass tour today. Started with Gotthard, then Susten, Grimsel, Furka. More than 6 hours and 450 km.

    What a day!! I think more than 1,000 curves, no traffic.

    I love my car more and more. The traction is absolutely unbelievable. After a hairpin curve at full throttle on a wet surface (!!) absolutely no wheelspin (who the hell needs a four-wheel drive??). And fast. Bikers slowed downed to let me pass.

    Wow Seven!
    When I was a kid I always went to switzerland on holidays. We mainly stayed in the brienz area, so I saw all the passes you mentioned. The village we stayed in is on the joining point of the grimsel and the susten. I havent been to CH for about five years now, and I really miss the scenery. Maybe next year I'll go there. Hope to see many enthusiasts like you with their 911!

    Hi Joost,

    After five years it's time again to come back. It's really worthwhile. Much fun to drive.

    I suppose you will drive faster than the Dutch driver I met (and tried to pass) today.

    I did the same thing last week-end, through the Nufenen, and back through the Simplon...Was raining...nobody on the road and it was real fun!

    Very nice Seven! Respect! I did the San Bernardino pass down to Locarno and the Gotthard pass on the way back last weekend. Driving up the small winding roads through a pass is just so much fun with this car... come out if a hairpin turn, floor the throttle in 1st gear, PSE screams, change to 2nd gear and floor it, PSE screams again, brake hard, downshift, next turn, the grip is phenomenal and the car is like glued to the road - it is addictive!
