    Well, I got it...

    2007 997TT, Atlas gray/black

I'm really happy with how the alum-look vent slats & leather trim strip turned out.

I've got about 200mls on her, so far. These cars rock!

Thanks for everyone's input on options! This board has been very helpful.

    Re: Well, I got it...

    Very nicely done!!

    Re: Well, I got it...

    Re: Well, I got it...

    Congrats!!! Looks very good!
Enjoy and let us know what you think about your turbo in several hundred miles.

    Re: Well, I got it...

Congrats man, that's a really great looking TT

    Re: Well, I got it...

Sweet looking Turbo. I am getting excited about mine, (late August delivery.)
Best of luck with your awesome machine!

    Re: Well, I got it...

    WOW! Niiiice.

I've never seen a custom paint job like that: fantastic! Was it Porsche Exclusive?

    Re: Well, I got it...

Atlas is a great color, I saw a TT in atlas a week before I picked mine up, had I seen it a few months ago I would have done Atlas!

    Re: Well, I got it...

    Thanks, guys.

I am absolutely loving the car. Huge step up from my previous 996 C4S. The interior is night & day improved over the 996, IMO.

    I can't wait to get beyond break-in.

MMD...mine is the only TT with the special 'partly cloudy day' metallic paint. You would not believe what they charge for it

Niiice. Nothing looks better than that wax job you did!

Would be cool to live long enough to see nano-technology (?) make everyday "paint" obsolete.

    Re: Well, I got it...

    Very nice!

    Re: Well, I got it...

That car is nicely optioned out! I like the way the slats were left aluminum in the switch panel package. The aluminum billet shifter/handbrake is another nice touch. Color to match exterior paint is not cheap but your driving a one of a kind automobile like no other! Drive it in good health.

MMD, I suspect that your very close to posting "finally stepped up to a TT today and...........................". I think your ready to make a move! Take your time, there are plenty of cars around. Get exactly what you want and don't settle for second best (unless the discount is too good to pass up). Pm me for what I think are the "must have"options. Hope you locate one soon!

Hey gradyex! Agree that Tex 911 did good on the options. Just the right amount of bling; it's easy to over do it. Frickin' Atlas..., niiiice..., got my eyes open for that color.

Order vs. "off the lot?" Unlike stock Carrera and Carrera S The TT basically has everything you'd want so an off-the-lot car might be just fine.

To tell you the truth I get in my "personalized" 997s (which I ordered and waited for) and can seriously do without some of the options I thought were indispensible. So by deduction (induction?) I also suspect I'd grow to like options I did not choose in the off-the-lot car.

Crazy isn't it? All this fuss over these cars?!

    Re: Well, I got it...

    TX 911,

Do you mind listing your options list here? I'm curious as to what you got. I really love the way the PCM looks painted! Looks spectacular with those painted vent slats! It also looks like you had your "Y" trim on the steering wheel painted too! You managed to get rid of all the Krylon Grey bits? What about your seatbacks?

    Re: Well, I got it...

LOL...no painted PCM, just big time light reflection !

I decided the main thing I didn't like about the stock interior was the contrast between the gray PCM and the all-aluminum look air vents and trim strip. So, I left the PCM gray, and got alum-look vent slats. The painted slat option gives you leather surrounding all the air vents. I also got the dash trim strip in leather.

I think the alum-look slats tie in nicely with the alum shifter, steering wheel, and door pulls. And, I don't mind the gray PCM at all now that it's surrounded by black leather!

The Y-trim IS painted on the wheel...I thought it looked better against the aluminum trim on the multifunction wheel.

Anyway, here is my full list:

    Atlas grey paint
    Black leather interior
    Sport Chrono
    Heated front seats
    Porsche crest in headrests
    Locking rear diff
    Multifcn steering wheel leather
    Leather sun visors
    Rear console leather
    Door finishers leather
Gear lever trim leather (the infamous CDZ option )
    Thicker leather steering wheel
Storage cmpt lid w/ model logo
    Dash trim strip leather
    Gear lever/handbrake aluminum/leather (DAD)
    Air vent slats aluminum look
Y trim stip steering wheel alu. look
    Sport shifter
Door entry grds stl steel illuminated
    Adaptive sport seats!

All told, about $15K in options.

Only thing I might change if I had the chance would be to get the painted wheels...I'm not sure I like the grey color on the wheels next to the atlas. However, I think this is a pretty pricey option.

    Re: Well, I got it...

One thing we are doing a lot of these days is painting the pcm faces flat black. It really makes all the buttons disappear and get much less busy.

Saves a bundle on the option price too.

    Re: Well, I got it...

    gorgeous machine. Congrats!

How would that work for us? We can't send the entire PCM/HVAC units to you to do that can we?
