Thank you martini964 and Conny997! Yes, it is quite a bit of time that I have spent in the air and every hour of flying is as enjoyable as an hour of driving my GT3 RS :-)
We had sushi for dinner and Martini cocktails to celebrate. I was so hungry and stuffed myself with lots of delicious fish ;-) Afterwards we went to the movies and saw one of the new releases (Unforgettable). It was great and very well acted. We enjoyed it a lot. The drive home was fun too since there was no traffic at that late hour...

Pilot:Something like that Gnil.
Thank you!
It is a beautiful spring day here in southern California and we are about to start the engine and 'fly off' to celebrate ;-)
Congrats and have fun.

12000 hours equal 500 days... I don't think I ever spent that much time in any of my cars.
Amazing indeed.

12,000 hours, that's 600 round trips for a 10 hour transoceanic flight, like almost 6000 miles a leg.
Typical Business class mileage is 1.5 times the actual miles flown, so for those 600 round trips it would equals to almost 11 million flying miles.
Anyone else got close to flying that much?

Now that you ask for calculations - a career in mining: field work 20 years: about 5000 hrs, helicopter and bush planes; senior management 15 yrs: 3000 hrs international travel.... way down now in retirement to under 100 hrs per year...
But - nobody does hours like 12,000, at the youthful age of Pilot, except.... pilots!

Racing the sky…
My summer has been very hot and busy, but flying, as always, was great. Now it’s time to catch up with you guys on Rennteam again :)
I can’t wait to celebrate a very special day with my wife this coming weekend. Currently I’m taking care of a few last things, including the “charcoal” GT3 RS.
I will try to capture some of the moments as good as I can. Let’s hope the photos will turn out well (it depends a lot on local weather) so I can share them here… fingers crossed.

The girl in the white dress...
...celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
It was a very special weekend for us and a very happy day! Everything fell into place for a cool photo shoot. I was lucky, all week I'd checked the weather and at the last minute it turned out absolutely perfect.
I can't wait to take her out again...

CONGRATULATIONS, it is so refreshing to see people like you still being in love after 30 years of marriage.
We are celebrating our 25th next year, hopefully in Hawaii.
