    I proudly present...

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I proudly present you the first F430 manual pic (as far as I know):

    Re: I proudly present...

I always loved that timeless Ferrari metal gate shift, and always will

    Re: I proudly present...

    you are the man rossi!

they really did it! it looks like the scaglietti's aftermarket manual!

(and i am really glad that i haven't ordered it!)

    Re: I proudly present...

    ...smaller version:

    Re: I proudly present...

    Thanks Rossi!
It does look good, not as bad as the 612 IMHO.
Is the radio aircon unit always alu look like on that picture or that's an option, nice contrast from the black leather.
    Thanks again!

    Re: I proudly present...

Thats awesome! I expected the bulged out gear shift to look much worse than this!

    Thanx for the pic!

But honestly, I think that F1 tranny suits this car's character better, IMHO....

    Re: I proudly present...

Well, I'm with zzboba: I think the manual doesn't look that good. Perhaps it's not as bad as in the 612, but far frum bein pretty.

And I also think, that a F1 fits better to a car like the F430.

    Re: I proudly present...

    I really like!!

    Re: I proudly present...

I thought it will as bad as 612. So, when I looked at the pic, my feeling is not bad.

Hi Fanch, do you really think it does look any better than in the 612? Not by much IMO.

    Concerning the alu parts:
You can get the F430 either with these alu inserts of with carbon parts instead. Both versions consist of four parts: area around the right and left airvent, upper and lower centre console. Both are no cost options. Further Ferrari offers a carbon kit for the interior, that includes also the console between the seats, the F1 paddles, area around the gauges and partly the steering wheel and perhaps something more I don't know. I don't have prices for that yet, a similar package for the 575 is around 8k.
I absolutely agree with you, that the silver alu fits perfectly to an all black interior. Gives a very nice contrast. So for the standard red/black choice this is the one to go for. Carbon makes it all too dark.
But when you order different colours for seats/carpets/door inserts, like red (see Geneva pics), tan or grey (does anybody here feel addressed now? ), carbon also looks good.

It looks as one would expect an early 1900 device to look in a 2005 automobile. Totally out of place.

    Re: I proudly present...

to me, it looks BUTT UGLY !

    Re: I proudly present...

i just vomited all over my computer

    Re: I proudly present...

Thanks for the picture Rossi . I think F1 suites this baby much better.

    Re: I proudly present...

Hott like a firecracker, I Like very much!

Yeah, you may be right with that. Originally I thought, "man, a Ferrari has to have the classic open gate". Now after seeing the pics, I'm not so sure about that any longer.
And then my good-old-friend zz said something very crucial: for a car like the F430, with all that electronics and all that technology, a F1 seems to be the ideal tranny. When Ferrari really has fixed the last bugs of the F1 (shifting speed, sensivity at low speeds) - and all the magazines so far say so (even the Brits!!!) - the F1 should be the one to go for.

    Re: I proudly present...

totaly "retrograde" (french people would appreciate that since I don't know if in english, you use this word).
Why to fight against the modernity ?

    Re: I proudly present...

temporal break between the manettino and the gear shaft...
but the thing itself will always look cool....

    Re: I proudly present...

love it, reminds me of a GTO or other car with the shifter gate high up.....like not having it flush!
