    Has anyone used a diagnostic code reader?

    I just wanted to see if any Rennteamers have used a diagnostic code reader on their Porsches. Supposedly these readers can tell you what is wrong when you get the "check engine" light either on or flashing.

    If anyone has used these, are they reliable and what brand would you recommend?

    Go to Durametric.com. I have their reader for my 997 and it works fine. Even used it to reset my service indicator. All the specs and features are on the site. When I had an issue with the service reset they literally worked day and night to provide a solution. It's less than $200.

    Many thanks for the great information and advice! I just checked out your reference and it seems to offer a better product than the ones sold by auto supply catalogs.
