    I don't know...it looks "clean" and nicely done but something is wrong, can't say what. Maybe because it looks like a pumped up 997 Turbo SUV but although this concept is interesting, it still misses something. I think the 911 look should stay with the 911, maybe this is it.

    They didn't do anything about the headlight washers.
    The Turbo LED stalks look a bit "parts bin."
    The grey nose on the hood/bonnet is just silly. They should have taken the cue from the Cayenne design (mimmicking the "long hood" design of the early 911.)
    They have no right to put their badge on this just because it went to a body shop adn got some plastic and paint.
    99% of the effect is just grafting in the 997 headlights -- a body shop could do that for a few days' labour and paint -- maybe $5K to make it happen.

    The overhead lights reflect on the paint and make it difficult to see the lines (or even realise that the rear door handles are shaved.) Perhaps it's better in person than in these photos. It seems to me that things like gills in the panel ahead of the rear wheels is so obviously cosmetic (there's no engine back there to need intakes or cooling) that it's just silly. Like the "striations" on an early Gemballa or some of these "Bad Boys" hot rods.

    Anyway, the real weakness of the Cayenne is the lack of family resemblance and they've done that with the headlights, but they don't snow the rear. The tough thing to do in a "two box" SUV design is to come up with the "haunches" of the 911 -- the wide sweeping curves over the rear wheels. I'd like to see the rear.
    The basic idea is kind of nice and I think shaving the second row is okay, but Nissan sort of "owns" the idea of a two-handle SUV -- they've been doing that to theirs since last decade.
    Let-downs in the new '08 revolve around the zero-change in the cabin, but I quite like the overall body changes, the more squared off lines and clean trim etc.
