Flaming welcome

My turbo arrived yesterday. As I drove it home for the first time, I saw a mushroom cloud of orange-grey smoke rising from the hills behind my house-- a brush fire. Shortly after I got in, the cops barricaded my neighborhood. So I sat in the driveway, fiddling with buttons while listening to newsradio, wondering if I'd have to evacuate.

With this car, who needs a house.

The sickly orange light is due to the sun shining through smoke. The car is meteor grey, black interior.

Nice car and nice picture , hope the fire was quickly under control. One of the drawbacks in your neck of the woods I suppose.

Aw yeah..., totally sucks; you should be out driving. THAT's Gotta be horrible: waiting and wondering.

By comparision all I have to deal with is earthquakes and a Tsunami threat.

A long day's drive, traffic, freeways and mountain roads...

Even without the boost and keeping it below 5000 rpm, the power is surprising. Partly because of the turbo lag-- a dead moment on the throttle, then wham, you're up the tailpipe of the car that was just a few hunded yards ahead. Roadholding is far superior to the '03 C2S I just gave up, especially on uneven surfaces and when you hit bumps mid-curve. The extra layers of technology insulate you a bit from the experience-- I'm used to more direct (and more limited) sports cars, at times the precision of the car was numbing.

The car does look much better in person than I was expecting. Only regret, I do wish I'd popped for the thicker steering wheel.

Steering wheel is easily solved by Techart. CEC can get you that.
