    Hi-Res spyshots of the new Camaro

    I really like the gauge cluster. It looks retro, just as it should. The one thing Ford has been guilty of, is making the 6 cyl. variant of the Mustang look exactly like the 8 cylinder, and I'm willing to bet the Camaro will be the same too. They should have a better way to differentiate between the two IMHO. Anyway, here they are:

    This is going to be a good looking car, IMHO. I just hope that it drives as well as its looks.

    It will drive well. It's engineered and designed right here in Port Melbourne. I know the Commodores all drives very well (for the $).

    I read that the car weighs in a hefty 4100lbs from an auto source.

    I wouldn't have thought so given that the Commodore SS with 6 litre V8 which I believe the Camaro is based on is only 1770kg (3900lbs) and that is a BIG car.

    Real problem and why this car originally died a horrible death, was because they actually make a 6 cylinder model, and the problem is most buyers bought the 6 cylinder!?!? I never understood that concept...why would you want to own a 6 C camaro or mustang. You look like a douch bag, in a neutered car that can barely pass a family sedan. The whole purpose of buying one of these cars is to get strait line HP for you money. If you don't even have that, what is the purpose? It's not like the cars are that cool, your just buying the most HP for your money, strait up! Same thing will happen again like it did 20 years ago. You will see 98% of these as wimpy, neutered down, less aggressive looking 6 cylinder POS, and maybe 2% will actually be the real deal with 420+hp.

    My mistake... I was getting this car confused with the Challenger. I dig the Camaro much more than the Challenger. Hopefully the interior will get a high spec tratment than the Dodge.
