... he ended up having to remove them eventually and put the stock ones back on due to the noise limits at the tracks....

Porker:Joost! It hasn't been out much yet i have to admit, as from March trips and trackdays are planned.

Greetings from the Nürburgring with Grant, Kobalt and Tim. Got black flagged AGAIN for a change, 137dB now. 
Car is going to Manthey tomorrow to take the exhaust down a couple of notches, it doesn't make sense this way.

Sorry to hear about the black flag and hope that Manthey can turn down the noise level. Was on Salzburgring yesterday and they have a 100dB limit. I asked some guys who were running GT3s and GT3 RSes and they claimed, that this is not a problem. Is the standard GT3 really that load and those guys were lucky, or has something been done to your exhaust ? Which all of you a great time on the ring

The stock GT3 certainly exceeds 100dB, some of them were black flagged at Spa even, and that's quite relaxed (they exceeded 107dB). Mine is basically straight through (long tube headers, etc..) so obviously much louder, too loud it now seems.

I will be there in May 
Frank, the guy, next to you is not an RT member, right ? Each time I am at the Ring , I see him, most of the time doing the same events as me ( mainly Scuderia ) Isn' t he Swedish and drives a McLaren ? Or last time he had a modified Porsche ?

That's Jonas (I think, a friend of Kobalt) and indeed Swedish, he used to run a McLaren dealership if I'm not mistaken.

exactly; but it seems to be unrelated to that particular dangerous part of the track. Instead two cars were somehow involved

Really having fun here! Frank’s car was made semi-legal (for sound) by Manthey today and fortunately it didn’t kill the performance- the flying Olive was really moving (faster than most of the RS’s).
Also got to meet Whoopsy in person for first time - I highly encourage more of these meetings

It was a truly brilliant couple of days with Rennteam, after the initial disappointment of being black flagged, Manthey racing was very helpful in fabricating a little roof on my exhaust to point the noise towards the floor instead of towards the dB mic. 
It proved just enough to pass the restrictions, on the condition I'd lift past the measuring point.
All set then for a lovely evening session of TF with quite a lot of Rennteam members, Grant, Whoopsy, Duckie, Trakcar, ... Brilliant fun and everyone drove with respect for one another. After the driving we all headed to Pistenklause for a beer fuelled debrief, which was as enjoyable as the driving itself.
Had a lovely duo lap with a 675LT from Augsburg, amazing to watch it shoot off on the power sections, and interesting to see where the Porsche clawed back on the downhill sections towards the end of the lap. Excuse my camera skills, it's my phone taped to my seat with the front-facing camera filming.
