Le Mans is an ENDURANCE race, so Diesel makes sense.
Of course, the fact that the ACO rules are blatantly biased towards Diesel engines, or the fact that Diesel cars make up about 3/4 of Audi's or Peugeot's sales in Europe is not foreign to the decision to go Diesel.
Anyway, it's great news that someeone is going to give Audi a serious run for their money this year.

The car supposedly has more HP and even more TQ then the R10. I had heard TQ was in the 825ft lbs range...
I forget what the weight limit is for protoypes (900kg), but that is a big number for such a lightweight car...heck, that would even put the Z06 to shame.

As a Villeneuve fan, Im very happy to see him in race car again 
With a competive race car, I think Villeneuve and Bourdais should do a good job, and mybie they will win.. If this happens, Villeneuve will became first driver who won F1 championship, ChampCar, Indy 500 and 24h Le Mans

It's amazing that it's only now, several decades later, that a driver is in a position to beat Graham Hill.
(Granted, it took even longer for a driver to beat Fangio's 5 titles

Looking foward as well - curious how Bourdais and Villeneuve will perform at Le Mans. They changed quite a few things on the car compared to the concept vehicle they released a while ago. Some of its design cues were not allowed due to ACO's regulations.
