Those wheels will be available - optional.

And here you can see production mirrors:

I think we are still waiting for your proper research project on the M5 engine :) Are you being lazy?

Me ? Lazy ? I was the only one who actually took the time to investigate before "spewing words out of my mouth". I gave you bmw's own press release, who explicitely said the M5 engine IS HEAVILY BASED ON THE N63 engine which is the engine they use in the 550i.  Here you have it again, for the seventh time I think:

The first modern turbocharged M engine: twin scroll twin turbo technology with a patented exhaust manifold.
Using BMW’s innovative, 4.4L reverse-flow V8 engine with High Precision Direct Injection and twin turbochargers as a basis, the new M engine introduces twin-scroll twin turbochargers and patented exhaust manifold technologies to achieve outstanding thrust and pulling force, while preserving the most compact dimensions possible.

Hell, even on wikipedia it says the exact same thing:

There is a twin scroll twin turbo version of the N63, known as the S63, which is made by BMW M. It features Cylinder-bank Comprehensive Manifold (CCM). Engine is rated 555 PS (408 kW; 547 hp) at 6000 rpm and 680 N·m (500 lb·ft) at 1500-5650 rpm. It currently powers the X5 M and X6 M, the high performance derivatives of BMW's Sports Activity Series crossovers.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_N63

You guys said that "the M5 engine has nothing to do with the 550i engine". How the hell it has nothing to do with it, when it is based on that freaking engine ????

I see someone spewing crap out of their mouth without passing them through their brain again.

Stop hijacking someone else's thread for your non-sense.

From you 'investigation' where is your list of parts that are the same and the list of parts that are different?

So now you want me to do your homework ?? I never said that there is NO difference between the two engines. I only said that the S63 engine from the M5 is derrived from the N63 engine, that is, from a 550i engine. This is what bmw themselves admit. And if you say that the two engines have no parts (or very few) in common then that is your task to prove, not my task to prove otherwise ! He who asserts something has to prove it, it's one of the most elementary notions my friend. I proved what I asserted, now it's your turn to prove your asertion (and no, the fact that you quote your friend RC doesn't prove anything). C'mon, don't be shy now, put your money where your mouth is !

Using your logic, all engines are the same as the original Otto engine then? While all the parts are completely different but since every 4-stroke engines made is based on the Otto engine they has to be the same.

Omg, where did I say they have to be the same ?? Show me where please. You put words in my mouth that I didn't say. And your argument is flawed in so many ways I don't even know where to start. You're confusing a principle with the actual execution of an engine, which can be done in many different ways, respecting the same basic principle.

Seriously, just keep your 'mouth' shut and stay in the corner quietly, in case you embarrass yourself even more.

Even more than yourself ? I doubt that's even possible my illogical friend.

Re: BMW will officially unveil the 2012 BMW M5 this Friday

Look who is back here? At least you listen to suggestions.

You said it, you didn't prove they are the same, you haven't provide ANY proof that they are, while I already offered you a dangling carrot about the differences, starting with the different part number on the engine block.

If you didn't want to submit any proof on your 'theory', that's fine with me, you are the one losing creditability here, not me, I am here long enough that everyone knows what to expect from my posts. You on the other hand are just in this forum trolling since what, January this year? You act cocky while hasn't contribute ANYTHING useful to the community, other than fuel for trolling and flaming.

No I didn't say they're the same. I said "it's bassically the same engine with different turbos and different exhaust manifold! And maybe some internal parts changed to cope with the extra power but that's it." You on the other hand said that the two engines have NOTHING in common, but you didn't prove that so please, if you may I would be really gratefull..

Re: BMW will officially unveil the 2012 BMW M5 this Friday

How's the 2 engines basically the same if the blocks are different, not to mention what you have already stated? FYI, the 'base' on which engines are build on is the block, the first basic base of an engine if you will, so how's the 2 engines 'basically' the same when their base is already different? You really are stretching conventional wisdom, or you think all of us here are morons.

They shared the reverse flow architecture, but that's not saying much, every other engine that's not part of that family also share the same conventional intake/exhaust architecture.

I didn't say they have nothing in common, I already told you some of the fasteners are the same.

I have been doing all the work for you, yet you are still quite ungrateful, as always.

I am not the only one waiting for your list, go back and read the thread, there are at least half a dozen members waiting.
