August 8, 2005 at the race track

I spent the day yesterday at the Monza race track near Milano, Italy.

It was a free driving event and many gorgeous

cars were there. As usual, the weather was very nice and I guess that the well known Italian hospitality and the local food don't require additional mention.

It's simply fantastic!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Thanks for the pics.

There was quite a collection of cars there, including one of my Italian favorites, the Lancia Stratos!

Yes, I do have all pics in a somewhat higher resolution. Unfortunately, my camera is quite old and the best it could do was pics in the 700 K range.

U R correct. I took a total of 41 pictures and the one with the highest resolution is 786KB.

Oooh nice, wouldnt mind a blast around Monza. Was there last year for the F1, great track and gorgeous area.

Thanks for sharing the pics, assume one of the cars was yours?

Yes, I agree. The area around Monza is quite nice. Particularly some of the local Restaurants are fantastic

Even though it's a fast track, it is actually fairly easy to drive there. Not very technical and hardly any elevation changes. However, achieving fast lap times is (I guess as everywhere else) rather difficult.

I am the proud owner of the car in pic #15. I always thought it's a great car, but frankly, comparing with some of the other vehicles that were there, mine was one of the least desirable ones. Oh well, as soon as I've won the lottery, I'll be able to afford a few of them.....
