    Uh oh Throt, now you're gonna get flamed by the hairdressers out there! Or worse!!

    But seriously, it looks to me like a committee designed the Cayman. Three Boxster reps and 3 Carrera reps. Neither were able to "win" any design arguments and so the car looks put together with pieces from each. I reserve the right to be wrong and to change my mind though.

    Although I would agree that I was expecting a Cayman S to be closer in price to a Boxster S, the price is still pretty good when you compare it (inflation adjusted) to a 1996/97 Boxster cost new.

    Equipment and trim is not really different than a 997 and it is a layout that should drive fantastically. Many early reviews are suggesting it may be the best handling P-car currently available.

    Styling is subjective. I love it, the tail especially is superb. The car recollects various aspects of Spyders and 904s.

    If I was buying a new Porsche today (and could afford either a fairly base 997 or a light optioned Cayman, I would pick the Cayman...

    As much as I don't like the premise of the Cayman, I gotta admit that it looks pretty hot in Cobalt.
