    Navigation or extended navigation for C4S Cabrio

    I am in the process of finishing my order for me C4S Cabrio (will get in November) There are now two Navigation options:
    670 Navigation module for PCM
    672 Extended navigation for PCM
    this is the Porsche description for extended navigation "extended navigation module with automatic track recording for subsequent backtrack-navigation enables in addition in not acquired areas via gps and compass"
    Does anybody know was this means?

    My dealer told me it was something to do with being able to track each and every journey the car makes....sounds like a useless gimmick to me....I Didn't add that option.

    ....no need on a 911 !!!
    I will not be going offroad with my 997 C4S !! ( delivered in november)
    The recording of every journey the car makes is aimed at Germany for some taxe reason if one uses it professionally ( taxi?????!!!!!!!)
