    Pics and dimensions of different steering wheel options?

    I'm trying to find dimensions and pictures of the following steering wheel options:

    460 Leather sport steering wheel
    XPA Thicker leather sport steering wheel

    Specifically, is the diameter of both of these steering wheels the same?

    They are not the same diameter, nor are they the same leather. The leather on the XPA (thicker sports steering wheel) has a softer suede like feel without being "fuzzy". Not sure how that equates to "smooth" leather but it feels great in your hands.

    The other leather sports steering wheel truly feels almost like vinyl (I know it's not vinyl) in comparison.

    XPA is thicker in diameter slightly--you do notice the difference in diameter compared to the 460 sport or stock Porsche steering wheel, which feel too slim in comparison. The leather on XPA is what makes the difference. It is my personal single favorite leather interior option, especially if you're buying a full leather interior 997.

    This is a picture of the steering wheel in the 997 GT3. Is this the XPA steering wheel?

    there are 3 versions of the 'sport steering wheel' as far as i'm aware of: (a) basic sport s.wheel which has a rougher/pebbled leather; (b) '460' sport s.wheel which comes in smooth leather; & (c) 'XPA' which is the same leather as '460' but slightly thicker & smaller in diameter.

    the special suede s.wheel is for upcoming GT3. it's most likely same as 'XPA' except in suede leather. don't think it's aval. just yet.

    All 3 version of sport wheel are smaller in diameter than other "triangular" steer wheels,10mm less.

    I am not sure, I just wish it was as thick as the sprots wheel.

    You should be able to change to the sports wheel. I ordered the XPA- the regular sports wheel felt a bit too small is my hands.

    yes, but yr dealer will need to use PIWIS to select/activate the MF s.wheel functions (otherwise the MF btns will not work).

    Does the XPA have multifunction? The main reason I got the Mf wheel was I liked the look of the triangular horn cover, but I didnt notice it was larger and thinner than the sports wheel My dealer told me I might be able to reupholster it and make it thicker

    check out some of the techart s.wheels if you want MF as well as thicker grip.

    I don't believe the MF wheel can be ordered with XPA. I prefer the look of the MF wheel but ordered XPA because of the way many folks raved about the feel and quality, and the thicker wheel will very likely be better for my large hands- the regular wheel felt too small. It's also supposed to be a bit smaller in diameter which is an added plus due to my long legs.
