    Color

What are the opinions of those that have seen the 997TT on color and interior color....what combos look good. I know this is personal preference but I don't know if an image does the car justice. Is the 997S a good "visual" representation of the 997TT...could I get a good idea by looking at 997S? I have a 997TT on order (Red with Grey Interior like my 993) and my family wants me to change the color.

    TIA,

    Mike

    Re: Color

Red would be better with black or beige or... both! Make mine guards red with two tone black/beige!

    Re: Color

I saw Red with natural grey yesterday and I have to say that was a stunning combination!

I say to avoid getting GT silver with cocoa interior. Does not look good at all, IMHO. Get that car with natural grey or black. They had a Lapis blue with natural brown and it really POPS out! Too bright for me.

    Re: Color

I have sat in an Arctic Silver/black leather 997tt and basalt black/terracotta/black two tone 997tt and there was no comparison IMO - the latter car was amazing. The 997tt looks best in darker colors or in brighter colors. Cobalt blue over sand leather would be stunning

    Re: Color

I've ordered Basalt and sand after much hard thinking. Don't like dull interiors like black, although I though of the palm green but didn't want to take the risk. The choice is very limited. My brother has a DB9 in gunmetal and burgundy interior, looks stunning. Current 996 TT is midnight and savannah which is too yellow.

    Re: Color

Check out natural brown, slightly darker and richer than sand with much higher quality leather. Better finish, smell, and it wears better. Just something to think about.

    Re: Color

Guys what about COCOA? What goes with Cocoa? I love cocoa but if GT Silver doesn't go with it then I don't know what does. Just white?

    Re: Color

I looked at natural brown and although I agree on the quality angle I found it too much like the savannah, too yellow. The cocoa was just 'too' brown. I think you have to like it or it just looks yuk.
You have no idea how much I agonised about this. I had actually chosen stone grey as a cop out but the dealer persauded me in the direction of sand.

    Re: Color

GT Silver and Cocoa work just fine:

My personal favorite is still Guards/Sand

    Re: Color

At first I went for the Cocoa but the finish on it is so contrived,--painted with that marbolized look. I went for the best feeling and smelling stuff,--the natural brown. You should take a special trip to a dealer who has a car in with that color.

997S Cab Turquoise Blue PTS and Nat. brown

    Re: Color

You made the right choice, natural brown is stunning.

    Re: Color

I liked the way Artic looked the best when I saw the car. Porsche must too because most of the cars are shown in Artic, just like in their marketing ads too, in Artic.

But w/ RED imo I wouldn't get grey I'd definitely get the black interior. Red w/ Black interior w/ Carbon Fiber interior options,,,,,,,,,,,, yum.

ps: Are you getting PCCB's? If so I'd re-consider the red. If not like I said RED w/ RED Calipers, Black Interior.

    Re: Color

    Artic - All it's missing is PCCB's.

    Re: Color

I'm going Artic Silver with Black. If Porsche offered a very light beige/cream I would do it with black or a dark grey. To me, the sand beige is still too brownish/yellow hence I'm sticking with black.

I like a larger contrast between the interior and exterior.

And of course, I picked the red brakes to match with the brake lights

    Re: Color

Did you really buy the steel brakes just so they matched the brake lights? If money is not part of this decision, you should get the PCCB, you can always have the calipers painted.

Matching the brake calipers with the brake lights

No, just my stupid joke. I find it tough to justify the PCCB, considering that I only plan to use the car as a GT daily driver (I don't track and I'll be getting a tip)!

Re: Matching the brake calipers with the brake lights

I just love the way the Artic silver looks indoors on the showroom under the lights, also outdoors on cloudy days. Outside in the sun (I'm in FL) there isn't any pop and it looks rather washed out, dirty and too bland. Definitely not very rich looking in direct sunlight. But again, cloudy days and indoors

Re: Matching the brake calipers with the brake lights

snyone have high quality guards red pictures?

    Thanks

Same here. Bought the Artic/Black combo for my 997 S cab and love it. I've thought about and looked at all types of other combos for my turbo cab but will stick with the Artic/Black. It's especially nice in the sun. THE most reflective paint Porsche has for the 911. This isn't the best pic but...
