Looks like you've just repeated the Autocar piece which was a poor article IMHO. The profit warning wasn't really one at all, with £15m being booked next year rather than this year. No shortfall, just a timing difference.

but dont think Autocar touched on shipments vs. actual deliveries or the "year end cash balance"
It is a profit warning, claiming it moves to the following year might be true but its now likely the same amount gets pushed from 2022 to 2023.
This is going to be an interesting year for AM. They could really do with some positive press these days. The Valkyrie was such a promising project, but it seems that for all the lightweight approach, it's a real anchor on their current situation.

It was always a bit overly ambitious for Aston's resources. As a first attempt at a mid engine car, they should have perhaps begun with something a bit less complex.

Yup. Again this is just me and my irrational love for company, but I keep holding out hope that they will work out the Valkyrie issues and that the car will actually be as great as promised. That would be the push they need right now.

Hard to tell how it will eventually end but Newey has distanced himself from the whole mess.

AML is quite thinly traded so a few big buy orders will move the price substantially.

Aston claims they have. I'd wager IF they did, then it's been a symbolic delivery for the books with a few very well connected clients who don't mind accepting it in paper just to help out the brand while they sort out final production. I wouldn't be surprised if the concession came with some perks down the line.

That would be my guess. The car is even the same color as the VP development mules.
