    Drivetrain clonk!

    I notice in my CTT powerkit model, when slowing down at a junction that there is a clonk feel/sound that seems to come from the drivetrain. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems and I am not sure if it's just chracteristic of the vehicle. I seem to feel it through the brakes rather than hear it directly.
    Anyone else have similar happen?
    I have 12k miles on clock.

    I had this too ALL the time since I bought the car, according to Porsche this is within specs, whatever this means. It was sometimes annoying but I got used to it. Nothing to worry about but sometimes I really got a KICK in my back (seat), so I wasn't too happy about it.

    Thanks for the info. It is not bothering me too much , just worried me it was faulty.
    Love your new Turbo'S', same look as my car but with the light interior which looks great! Cheers. New 997 Turbo Tip comes on the 6th January- Can't wait!

    I've had the same "issue" with mine since purchase more than 3 years ago. I've asked several times about it when the vehicle was in for service and my dealer said they've seen it on a number of the Cayenne TTs. Apparently, Porsche has told them its "within specs and not a problem". I no longer worry, just drive...hard. Otherwise, and short of a few initial "sound system problems" resolved by replacement (2 different times), the CTT has performed brilliantly. I'd buy another without hesitation. Enjoy.
