RC: @Mike: you can't be serious. You already have your Panamera Turbo and you didn't post lots of photos and a detailed driving report?![]()

I picked it up the last Saturday in February and since then I was out of town for a week and pretty busy otherwise. The car has about 550 miles on it and I won't do any limit maneuvers until the 2,000 miles of break-in will be over. Today is the first sunny day I've been able to enjoy here but am tied up away from my camera.
Here's a picture taken of my car at an event at my Porsche dealer:
My Panamera and Carrera GT were featured along with dozens of other classic Porsche cars in a Porsche "Family Tree" promo event which drew between 500 and 600 people.

Hi Mike. When you get a chance, please post some pics. I think I recall that you were considering carbon grey with expresso. Love that combo.
Glad you are enjoying the car...
I ended up ordering Black exterior, Black leather, and Carbon trim.

That red 356 is sublime...
That car and many others were previous concours d'elegance winners. It was quite the event. Invitations went to a three-state area.

Wonderbar:
Good post, RC, clearly stated.
I like the Lexus 460, especially the L version, and have driven one for well over 1000 kms. While enjoyable, it is certainly not a sports sedan in the class of a Panamera, much less a Panamera Turbo.
On the design, the Lexus and Panamera are remarkably similar in general appearance. If Wild Speed or Misha added a square trunk to a Panamera, or a round rear to a Lexus, they are much the same.
How about a tad bigger rear lights The other day I was behind one for 15-20 min. and this idea came to me .
Wonderbar:
Red car is most likely a 1961 or 62 Roadster (Drauz body), fully restored. As soon as the sun comes out and can be trusted here in DC, I will take and post some pics of my 1961 Super 90 Roadster (Condor yellow/black).
Thanks Mike...
How much do these things go for? I am not into vintage cars at all. But if there was one, this would be it (250GTO is not in the budget, we will leave that to Mike S )

When I reached the intersection an LS 460 pulled up in black. My immediate impression was the 460 had more class and stature as a sedan. I can not see the justification for the price tag of the panny.
LS460 ?!? Please! From a looks perspective it's just another preppy car. From a performance perspective is an average sedan compared to the Panamera driver's car character.
I have driven one and it was not lacking imo. In normal traffic or residential neighborhoods where most sedans will see the bulk of their use, how does the extra performance become useful? Because I would assume most people who wanted to go out for a fun drive will take their GT/sports car.
In addition to the 460, I like the A8 a lot and the 7 series a little.
Today I saw a beautiful WHITE Panamera Turbo with black tinted glass at my local dealer.
Car had Turbo rims, it looked beautiful. White is definitely a good choice for the Panamera, same with black or very dark colors.
Btw: the opposite of attractive, this Panamera S is also at my dealer. Weird color for such a car.

SciFrog, on older Porsches like the roadster in the pic, the best way is to join PCA, get Panorama magazine, and search the ads there. Also, to find really nice ones, you need to go to a Porsche Parade and start chatting up the folks who show these cars. You can find out so much good information, and learn the good from the rip-off.
But be forewarned--owning, driving and keeping up an old Porsche is challenging. It is not for everyday driving to say the least, and you need a good old Porsche mechanic around to take care of these pretty, but fragile, masterpieces...

Tks, I am a PCA member... Seem like this would be nice hobby for when I will have more time...

Weird colour for ANY car.

The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
In reality, this color isn't really brown or gold brown, it is some sort of bubble gum brown, difficult to explain, very weird and definetely not the right color for the Panamera...unless one really wants to show off (not in a positive way I guess ).

W8MM, thanks for the pictures, what an awesome collection.
My pleasure.
Those cars are all from within about 100 miles of Cincinnati with the majority coming from right in the city. Such an amazing assortment of Porsches for such a "small" city, although a large part of the local population has German ancestry. Cincinnati has a "sister city" arrangement with Munich.
