    60-130 times from today

    Some charts from today 2/2/08. Temp 73F, headwind 10mph. All runs made on the same Driftbox unit

    My friend Rob's totally stock Ferrari 430F1. This was in Race mode and check out how quick the shifts are. Despite 2 shifts, the time is good. His car was chirping the 3-4 shift.




    TTGasman's 997TT with Tubi exhaust. This was a 3 shift run which I think would be able to cut alot of time off by starting from 3rd and extending the stock redline to allow hitting 130 in 4th. The 4-5 shift added almost 1.5 seconds to the time. The Tubi sounded really, really good on his TT!




    My Stage II 997TT, on a 93/104 octane 50/50 blend. I had 3 almost identical runs

    So 60-130mph summary:

  • F430 F1 = 10.5s
  • 997TT + Tubi = 12.5s (although it got to 127mph in 10.0s)
  • 997TT Stage II = 7.8s

    Wow!!!!!!! Please remind us all again exactly what you have had done to your Stage II Turbo?

    additional data points from yesterday:

    stock Ford GT ran a 9.3s
    2 stage II 996tt's ran 9.2 and 9.4s
    supercharged 07 Z06 ran a 7.4s
    1100 hp Supra ran a 4.5s

    Also other 60-130 runs from other locations:

    stock 997TT in Califoria 10.3s
    993TT with stage II UMW kit 9.6s

    my car has the GIAC ECU flash (stock, 93 octane performance, 100 octane race mode), AWE exhaust, BMC panel airfilter, and lightweight Champion/PES wheels. The car is lowered about 20mm which may reduce drag slightly, but would not be noticeable until after 150mph or so

    I think this time is pretty impressive for a stock TT, but what is the reason for it? Slightly downhill? Temp around 0 Celsius

    Anyway, but a 12,xx is much to slow....

    What is the horsepower figure for your car?

    I would guess at least 550hp. I have been told well over 500hp to the wheels on the race gas

    very nice eugene and pretty consistent results with your previous runs. won't be long before you're ready for more, trust me

    yes I ran a blend of 93 and 104 octane yesterday, should be a 99 octane cocktail.

    Did I read the chart correctly that you had to shift only once? Was this possible because the ECU mod extends the engine's redline?

    Yes, 1 shift. The redline in race mode is extended a hair to allow the car to reach about 133 before a shift into 5th is required. Stock will go to about 127.

    Wow! 1100 hp Supra? That thing must be a blast to drive!

    Impressive times all around, the tiptronic 997TT graph is amazingly smooth.

  • This would be the very exact same as my EVT-690R with race gas (OEM turbos) last fall at Alastaro Drag Strip, I hit 7,8 seconds and as Eclou had later advised, I probaply had gotten way better time if I had done 1 shift run instead of 3 shift run.

    Well, it won't be too long to get rid of the snow and I'll be back @ Alastaro to see the difference in shifting. My wild guess is that I'd be shaving 0,2 secs off.
