    Dealer hold back??

    I have been discussing with my dealer trading in my artic silver S coupe for an 06 guards red S. The red is my favorite color and was not available in the earlier months and I would like the sport exhaust and sport shifter. I have followed the dealer cost for 911s over the years and it is my understanding that there has been no hold back. Has this changed recently as it impacts on my trade in value for my 2005? My dealer was educating me on Saturday and I didn't believe him.

    Actually, the GM told me the hold backs were 1.5% and 1.5% which would be about 3% of 88,000 or 2640 buckos. Thanks for your input. Captivabilly

    My dealer is Napleton Porsche in Westmont, Illinois. I have been an very good customer having bought a Cayenne S and a Cayenne Turbo as well as the Carrera S. I may have to shop at the Exchange with Marty Johnson or at Loeber. Frequent buyers return where they are welcomed with good prices and service. Napleton service has been excellent. I have been a frequent Porsche customer since 1969 with my 911T and many other guards red 911's. Captivabilly, riding into the sunset in his 911.
