car flooded - what to do first?
I am posting this on the 997 board because it has the biggest audience, but the issue actually regards my friend's 996.
He has gone on vacation, but a burst pipe resulted in water flooding his underground garage with his 996 in it...The water is now up to knee level, but marks on the car and walls indicate that it was about 1m high at some point. Ignoring the insurance side of the issue, what should he do now to properly save what is saveable. Will this car ever run? Has anyone ever had any experience with a flooded car still being driveable? Any stories and advice welcome.
