    F430 ?

Supposed to be from a photo session in Mexico.

    F430 in Mexico ?

    Re: F430 ?

Is this finaly the real one

    Re: F430 ?

Looks really good thanks for sharing.

It doesn't look like a PS job to me but again I ain't no PS expert .

    Re: F430 ?

May I dare to say that thing is the real thing? Farina, what are you thinking? The front bumber still looks a bit ps to me, look at the edges of the air intake, they look a bit blurred. But then, the whole pic is blurred, so I guess this also is the real front. The front lights as well as the mirrors correspond perfectly with the infamous spy shot.
And what are you guys thinking about the back? I'm not sure if I like it...

    Re: F430 ?

Rossi... it looks like the real car but i will check that!

    Hurry up, man, hurry up!!!

    Re: F430 ?

    Compare:

Headlights and mirrors are definetely the same. So either the pic from Mexico is camouflaged (unlikely) or Ferrari changed the front bumper once more (likely).
Unfortunately we can't see the side air vents.

    Re: F430 ?

Well... the back is nearly 100% like those of the prototypes.
I think it must be the real car and look to the finish: there are reflections from the road!
    I like it!

    Re: F430 ?

This car looks not as good as the 360 Modena. I hope that the final product will be more convincing

    Re: F430 ?

Cancel the geraldo! This thing look badass. Sign me up!!
    More pics please...

    Re: F430 ?

The back is far too tall and thick for a car this size. Color the diffuser red to see just how large it is.

It also doesn't flow nearly as well as say the F355's rear end, which is perfection. The front is even worse, a bad decision to go away from the "smiley face" bumper they were going to use. Say what you will about old smiley, but it matched the car's other views far better than this strange dual-teardrop one they've got now.

The front's rounded countours are a total mis-match to the very angular Enzo-style rear. It's a mess. The R/T photoshop pic looked far superior to this.

    Re: F430 ?

too much to guess from these photos, despite how enlightening they are!

i love the "mean" front, and the rear is modern--

how it's all put together and flows, we will see...

    Re: F430 ?

The front is too smudged to be real..

    Re: F430 ?

I pray that somehow this is not the real thing. IMHO, the design of the car pictured is a large leap backward.

I am in agreement with the earlier (negative) comments. The front end is rather ugly and the side intakes over the rear fender don't flow well w/the rest of the car.

    Re: F430 ?

Hi guys this is my first message.Nice forum!!!!

For me the "mexico front bumper"doesnt allow the air to flow under the car as it did under the modena. This mexico bumper looks also "bizarre" in the middle , farina , what do you think of the shadow????
So the real front of the f430 should be the one on the burned factory spyshot and the rear is the one on the mexico shot.

i think this combo would be great...

D'accord. As noted previously, the "teardrop" intakes don't match the angular, aggressive Enzo-inspired theme of the rear.

I'm desperately hoping this is not the real front bumper.

    Re: F430 ?

And for the power ferrari won't go under 115 bhp/liter(the new engine has F1style design and components, it doesn't heat at all and it revs at 9000 Rpm) so it should give between 490 and 510 bhp and about 333(451)lb-ft (Nm) of torque. this engine is also lighter than the 360 engine.Paolo martinelli (past f1 engine tech chief)supervised design and development. This engine is really going to be the closest one to the f1 spirit ever made.
    Prepare for awesome specs...

Wow, I love the back, it has that "Enzo Ferrari" look to it. But it still has its own identity and looks very aggressive to me. The front I am split on, the end intakes are so-so, but I like the center intake and the lower lip on the fascia. The new headlamps and mirrors look good as well. I can't wait to see the new wheels and what they have changed to the interior.

So they are saying near 500 bhp now? Wow this things gonna move!

    Re: F430 ?

I found the mail of the photo source called daniel santiago on this page :
    http://www.geocities.com/fgg_productions/coledaniel.html

if somebody speaks spanish and wants to ask him questions about the pics.....

    Re: F430 ?

Sorry the engine designer is not Paulo Martinelli but Mauro Rioli who also worked on the 333 SP racing car.

    Re: F430 ?

Give it some time and it might grow in you

I too, had mixed feelings when I saw the pics.

Love the headlights, the mirrors and the side intakes
Scratch my head at the front intakes
Like the rear but it could've been better

But IMHO, I think it's better to have a design that will grow in you (as time goes by you get to appreciate the car more) instead of one that looks good to everyone from day one but gets more and more uninteresting (New Beetle anyone??)

As I recall when the 360 was released some people said the 355 is much better-looking, but the 360 did grow in them..I expect the same with the 430

Back to the 430, I think Ferrari tries to keep the 360's soft, curvy lines in the front but goes aggressive and angular with the rear. That's why the front intakes are that shape. Ferrari claimed that the 360 looks like a different car from different angles, I think they want to take a step further with the 430...

Still trying to appreciate the collision of lines at the rear, where the curvy rear wing meets the angular end...

    Re: F430 ?

The front looks realy blured, maybe it was shoped, Maybe it is a real pics that was tampured with. There are no front license plates, maybe they were blured out

Wow, nice that man is one of the best engine designers around. That 333 SP unit had 5-valves per cylinder, the first for a V12. I THINK it was based off a F1 engine, I guess he did that one as well?

    Re: F430 ?

I don't know if he designed the f1 engine, but he supervised its adaptation to the 333sp. This engine turned at 11000 Rpm without stress......

    F333 sp engine specs
Engine: 65 degree V12, normally aspirated, DOHC, 5 valves per cylinder (original large-valve unrestricted F1 configuration)
    Displacement: 3997 cc
    Horsepower: over 750 bhp @ 11,000 rpm
    Torque: 380 lbft @ 9000 rpm
Gearbox: Ferrari sequential 6-speed gearbox, carbon fibre clutch

    Re: F430 ?

    FAKE

Ferrari Testing a prototype without Camo I can't see it.

Front shot so burly and the the rear shot so sharp.

The proportions on front shot don't seem to be the same in the rear shot.

Also Ferrari serect test out of italy (SURE) Funny and they just stop on the open road for a photo

Come on guys put one and one together its a good fake but thats all it is a fake the real thing may be close to this but this an't it...

It's a REAL picture, for sure. Trust me...
