no way - as I say since 2015 - I predict this years GT3 to be the last NA engine.....- after that new tech with turbo's which is easily faster than anything you could do with a 4.0

Just look at the 991.2 GTS, 450HP "Carrera" with a sportier setup already beats the 991.1GT3

.2 GT4 and Spyder are not about "beating" Laptimes...they will get the NA4.0 Engine...

If either would of gotten the GT3 engine in the first place they would have a change at getting the new .2GT3 engine but they didn't, Porsche wantrd them to have Carrera engine, and thats what they are going to get again, which means turbo.

Question for Kreso: in one of the previous posts, the possibility of a limited edition road-legal version of the RSR was mentioned as a possibility, 4.2l NA, 550 hp, reverse engine-gearbox layout, etc, 2018 as a final 991 model.

Is that realistic or like smoking dope...?

On a serious note do you really expect that much Motorsport models?

991.2 GT3(will come in new Kriede colors as well which btw, will be a special color for 991.2 range, GTS included) is ready. I have most of the facts. 495-510 is the power number, wise ones will guess which one... Car will be amazing.

991.2 GT2 RS is also coming for sure. True monster.

One extra special edition unicorn 991.2 is coming as well.

    New GT4 or GT4 RS with 991.2 GT3 engine? Hmm....Smiley

No chance, I'd lose either way since i don't drink seriously I wish it would get the GT3 NA engine, I'm not a fan of turbos and the more NAs the better, especially in tue sportier models, I was hoping the GTS would not fall victim either, but I'm just taking about common sense, Porsche may surprise us but not likely at all. Porsche did not want the GT3 engine in the first versions of the GT4 or Spyder, Porsche has always been very careful of avoiding overlapping in performance of models, and the price/cost would skyrocket too.

Kreide looks amazing on the new Panamera, it is kind of mixture of Audi's Suzuka Grey and Nardo Grey.

In the US, the color is called chalk but the Porsche configurator doesn't really show the beauty of this color.

Not frecuently but sometimes here and there, and that alone is reason enough, I have a 10 year old daughter and she loves it, I could not see her face if I bought it as a two seater only. But also i put a lot of Km, im up to 35k already, and all year around all weather, not the purpose a GT3 was built for, and also dont want the wing and in your face aesthetics that though beautiful would call too much attention ( the red GTS already draws too much, much more than one would expect as its just a Carrera, but people take pics with their phone when in the car behind me etc, really strange, maybe its the color yes)

It is basically a pastel type of grey. It could look good on a GT3 but I don't have a clue, I've only seen it on a Panamera and it looks very good on it (with black wheels though Smiley Smiley).

Yes but with black wheels, the color goes much better with black wheels in my opinion.

Before you order a color, you need to see it live and it person first.

Is chalk even available for the next GT3? Smiley

Btw: A GT model should have a flashy or special color in my opinion. Red, Lava or Miami Blue or something like that, just saying. Smiley

    Re: 991.2 GT3 Thread Closed

    Kreso,

wisely = 495 HP. Porsche is always doing marginal improvement, and 20 HP betweem MKI and II was sued to happen (360 to 380 on 996,415 to 435 on 997 ....)

As i would like : 510 obviously this would be great ... but Porsche is predictible on this side.

As I have a firm order on the car, I just hope the torque coming earlier, and the imporvements will make the car really better than marginalyy better vs a carrera GTS.

Let's cross fingers right now....... You say it is an amazing car.... I 'm relying on you ... waiting nevertheless the release to conclude the deal :-)

Maybe not that one, but I always thought GT Silver looks pretty nice on a 911...

I hope they offer some new colors to the palette too (not that crazy about the current selection, other than doing Carmine again - but already did that...)
