    6. 19" Carrera Classic wheels, elegant, simple and easy to clean.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    7. Electric memory standard seats - we both find them supportive and more comfortable than the sports seats.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    8. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - dead accurate and a valuable safety gadget.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    9. Our last Boxster was badly gnarled at the front after only 8,000 miles, so we have invested in Armourfend on this car. You can just see the margin, here. They covered the front bumper, front half of the bonnet, headlights, lower front spoiler round the dummmy central vent, the door mirrors and the painted cill outboard of the standard guard.

Your umbrella is the wrong way round!

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

Looks nice, although whilst I was admiring the piccies Jules had to comment on the state of the finger in the Armourfend pic!

Look forward to seeing it in person (the car not the finger, although I assume you'll have to bring that along too!! ) soon.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    What a beauty!

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

Its a very good colour choice

I've turned it around now, thanks. Might as well get it right.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

Very nice. I'd be interested in seeing how the Armourfend copes with the ravages of time. Are you happy with the quality of the job?

Nice to see a finger that's seen some action by the way. I hate it when people post pictures of their 'garage queen' hands that they spend all their time waxing.

Any photos of the sub-standard cup-holders going? I for one think that's a travesty!

They look and feel cheap and nasty compared with the ones in my last car..

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    and again..

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

Your tyre pressures are incorrect - shouldn't they be 2.2 up front ??

and those cup holders look like Porsche forgot to add the silver finish

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

THanks for your great photos. Your colour choices were going to be mine as well on a new 997 C4S, that is until She Who Must Be Obeyed decreed that Carmon Red and Natural Brown Leather would be the colours on our (my) new Porsche!
Nonetheless, your car is stunning and in the past week have referred to your factory collection photos several times. Enjoy your beautiful new 987S!

    I think DC has them correct. 2bar = 29psi front 2.5bar = 36psi back. Unless we're BOTH wrong!

I'd prefer the display in psi, or to 2 decimals, as you have to lose 5% pressure before the number changes! Though I know it's only supposed to be a warning, rather than a measure. I try to keep mine spot on with a gauge once a week, but a warning that you've picked up a nail would be excellent. I wish it had been ready in time for the launch cars, otherwise I would have had it for sure!

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

    I thought 2.0/2.5 (or 29/36 in old money) were for 18s, 19s use 2.2 (32) up front, 2.5 (36) on the rear.

I don't have my manual handy, but might be worth checking next time you open the drivers door - you dont want to be 3psi under inflated

Open mouth, insert foot. I run 18s. You are correct, the 19s run 2.2 up front. Should have known not to distrust you percymon!

OK OK, I'll adjust before I next take the car out!

er no, actually, it's the basic sports steering wheel.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

Looks lovely mate! You added many miles to it since you got it?

Not yet - approx 800 miles (factory collection) total now about 940.

Re: Some more pictures of our cobalt blue 3.4S

If you need any help in adding miles mate, I would be happy to fly over!

Did you do many miles in your first 987? Was it easy to sell it on in the UK? I guess private is better resale but through an OPC you get a quicker deal....

You must have been confused by driving too much on the "right" roadside in Germany

Good to see your beauty again I hope you and SWMBO enjoy it to the max
As for the cupholders: though I always thought that cupholders in a Porsche (maybe except a Cayenne ) are pure blasphemy, it's really incredible where the bean counters try to "find" some cents Friends of mine are working at big car suppliers (plastics, carpets) and if they tell some "insider stories" about negotiations with Porsche, BMW and MB you just won't believe it
