    ISOFIX on Boxster

    Hi, just wondering if anyone has any experience of the ISOFIX kit on a Boxster?

    I am finalising my 981 S specification and I think my daughter will probably have two more years in a full car seat, so was wondering about adding this option as well, however the porsche configurator mentions that it limits the adjustment range of the passenger seat: "ISOFIX child seat mounting points on front passenger seat and control in the glove compartmentfor deactivating the passenger airbag (deactivation indicator in front overhead console) Note: This option limits the adjustment range of the passenger seat"

    Any ideas?

    Do the Porsche child seats use the Isofix system? If the Isofix kit is going to restrict the seat adjustment if it's not removable maybe it would be better to buy a good standard Britax or equivalent good make seat rather than an Isofix one. In any event you'd have to fit the airbag deactivation switch though.

    We already have a couple of the Britax Isofix Seats which I believe are the same as the Porsche ones. The factory fitted option at £121.00 now includes the seat bracket for fixing the seat and the airbag de-activation via a key I believe. I would probably only use it occasionally but it stops the child seat moving around when it's not occupied - otherwise you have to refit the seat belt each time
