I admit that the 5 GT looks better in real life than it does in pics, but it's still ugly. Not R-class ugly though, that was much worse. I drove the 550i GT recently and to be honest, it drives really well! It's more 7 series than X5M though, with the focus on luxury and smoothness. You can't even tell you are driving a V8 such is the quietness in the car.
As for the 5 series wagon, I have to admit that the M5 wagon would definitely be a candidate for my next family car in a couple of years!

The Audi has the most serious and successful side view IMHO. Looks wicket, and i guess a facelift will bring up the front soon...
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Absolutely great but you need to make those exhaust tips slightly smaller and they need to move from the far left/right and little bit to the middle. The real thing looks pretty close to the X5 M exhaust design.
Can't say much about the front since the new M5 I saw was heavily camouflaged.

According to one of our sources, no more M5 station wagon I'm afraid.
X5M makes the M5 wagon redundant.
M5 wagon would be nice with a 3rd row too,, if they make it....I remember some wagon/estates having a 3rd row set up, Austin Montego Estate had the seven seat set up, why have the car manufacturer's stopped the idea.?..
