    Carrera S Brakes

    Hi all,

    Have just completed the reccomended run-in period this afternoon and have found that my S is nice and fluid, throatier and more enjoyable to drive by the day. However, I'm finding the brakes (standard S spec) a bit spongy and they really only 'bite' as I am closer to the firewall, i.e. 3/4 down on the pedal onwards. Is anyone else experiencing this and is it a normal trait for these?

    Doesn't sound right. I think you should have the dealer look at it.

    Ask your dealer to allow you to drive another 997 S to make a comparison. Also let your mechanic drive your car in comparison to a dealer car. And of course you should go to your dealer as soon as possible...we're talking about the brake.
