I think it is a shame Porsche did not combine the 300 pound weight loss with a higher HP figure, it would have been a real killer then.
Also, maybe a stupid question but can someone explain why the torque numbers are the same as the TT even with all the turbos/intercooler/headers/exhaust upgrades? I don't get it.
AAH, torque numbers are ca. 10% more on the GT2. The rated torque of the TT is 620NM whereas the GT2 is ca. 680NM with 2.9 psi more.
The TT in overboost mode will match it you are right, but it needs higher pressure and lasts for only a few seconds.
Correction on my data above, I was mistaken, the 997TT TIP needs 2 gear changes to get to 100mph, same as the manual version.![]()

Finally a 911 that exceeds expectations. Porsche had to get this one right and the power, weight and gorgeous interior all hit the mark. WOW!
Better wait for the Supertest before finalizing this view![]()

I am weak. I may back out if it is 200K but i think it will come in around 185. You have to anti-in to play.![]()

Price for Germany 189496Euro(incl. Mwst).
That is around $220,000. I subtracted out the 17%Vat which I assume is in the Euro price. Pretty expensive for a 997TT on steroids.
Does anyone believe this car will beat the CGT?![]()

Nick, using your logic, how do you justify paying what you did for a Fiat Barchetta on steroids?![]()
