    VIDEO: Garage419 spends time with the Ferrari P4/5

    I have just seen this video about the P4/5. It comes out that the guy really drives his car on the street. Even if I didn't liked it that much the car, and I have seen it fro real few times, now I start to like it thinking that he really uses it!!!

    Yeah he actually does.
    He's a member on this board as well and posts here and there when he finds the time and finds something of value to post.

    Right, I believe he's an ex Hollyweird Movie producer. I cannot believe he took a $1M Enzo, then commissioned Pinna to make it better (at a cost of another $1M or so!), then drives it on the street!

    From what I've read, the body mods that Pinna did actually make the car more balanced from a F/R weight distribution perspective and give it a lower coiefficient of drag than the standard Enzo body.

    I believe it's the same J.G.
    My uncle was the guy that lead the P4/5 project at Pininfarina. I believe making movies was some kind of family tradition after graduation

    Actually it sems that he spent like 3M of dollars to build his car.

    Napolis as I have said at the beginning, you are doing a fantastic thing for using your P4/5 instead of having it as a "don't touch" model stored in a very nice garage!!! That's cool!!! Many more happy miles!!!

    I'm proud to see you're a man who not only puts his own rather substantial monies into creating something one of a kind and unique, that goes on to better the original it was based one, but then goes on to use the damn thing the way it was intend instead of babying it to death and leaving it on some pedestal to slowly entropy.

    (Still can't believe that line about after 200mph, it generates so much air friction - it literally burns the paint off in some areas! Very reminiscent of the Blackbird SR-71 which was an absolutely revolutionary plane for its era)

    That's true. The paint on the edge of the spoiler was burnt
    off. This happens on aircraft as well.

    ^^^Yes, I've seen it on F1 and Cart cars after extensive testing. I've seen it on a friends Cirrus after countless flight hours. But on a road car, never. You're in rare company.

    Now you are confusing me. I don't know whether to look at the car or the chick! What a beautiful car though. I never knew about it's existence. Thanks. Also, was the P4/5 in anyway influenced by the Dino Competizione in anyway? I see a lot of similarity between the two eventhough I read that the car is a modern P4.

    Yes Dino Competizione/P3/4's/333sp's and 512 S's were all inspiration for P 4/5. Since she was built in 1967 Dino Competizione was owned by Pininfarina until I recently became her first owner. I'm taking her to Villa d'Este and then will be driving her on the Historic Targa Florio. She will also be at the Bahrein F1 with P 4/5. If any of you are at those events please say Hello!

    333SP - what a great car. Ferrari needs to campaign more prototypes. I thought it was funny when privateers started replacing the engines with V10 Judds.
    Probably the first time someone didn't want to use a Ferrari engine but wanted the car instead. Ha ha ha.
