Yes, it does, but I can't say I noticed much difference to my 997. If anything, then only positive. We were at Dijon-Prenois for a track day today and the steering feel is just excellent. The whole car is excellent in fact.

The handling is on a different level than the 997. Really different level. Such great balance! Feels and behaves like a mid-engined car. In addition, the AWD pulls the car out of the turns and PDK Sport Plus is spot on, every time. The car is fast, very fast. Too fast for me to be honest 10 points out of 10!

From what you are experiencing, it appears that this system suits the AWD cars very well.

Ok, I never experienced that. We did a fair amount of hairpins, in the wet, when driving to Dijon. Great feedback in the steering and the car simply goes where you point it. Perfect in my book. Maybe not in some journalists', but they have to write about something.

From what I understand the Power Steering Plus is only enabled up to 50km/h.

I know the 50km/h cut off point, but the criticism related to the initiation of a turn (e.g. roundabout etc) at low speeds or the car having a slide in the wet at low speeds, before the steering firms.

Nevertheless, owners' real world impressions is always the best source of information. Thanks kiss

The 997.2 GTS is a sweet car. My all-time 997 favourite. It should be on par with the 991 in a straight line, but does not benefit from the new chassis. The balance and handling of the 991 is waaay better. It feels closer to my old 981 than the 997. That should say a lot Smiley

Great pics bluelines ! Your car looks great and so do the others at the track day. you evidently had a great time throwing it around the track. And the B&B pics we're just perfect, we do love our food pics here in RT indecision

Could you elaborate a bit on the driving feel of the C4 on track. I read a few reviews that state that the car mostly feels like a typical RWD 911 until you really get to the limit.

great pics! sad we missed each other, I was attending a trackday last week from April 16-17 . was my first time in dijon, great track. was with FMT and used Gedlich coaching with data recording. did 1.32min laps, easily another 1.5 seconds left on the table.

Yes, I concur with those reviews.

Firstly, as already mentioned, the chassis is very well balanced and the handling excellent. Gone is the nervousness from the 997 when quickly changing direction or braking. You could always feel the heavy rear making resistance and the car going a bit wobbly. Even coming off power or changing direction in the middle of a hard turn does not upset the car.

Secondly, the car feels like a RWD car and during normal driving you don't notice the front wheels doing anything. Nor does the steering feel like an AWD car, this is what I disliked the most with the AWD 997 cars. However, when you push it out of a sweeping turn (and I had plenty of opportunity in Dijon) you feel the front wheels powering up and digging into the tarmac. Then pulling you nicely out of the turn without any understeer. A very similar feel to the GT-R. Magic.

Good to hear Mike! Yes, sad we missed each other. FMT did the suspension work on my old Boxster Smiley Nice guys.

Dijon is a really great track. The elevations adds to the fun. It is just hard on the tires.
