    996 problem

    After running my 996 for a few hours and shutting it off - it won't start. I replaced the starter and changed the battery cables. My local dealer says it is not the battery or the alternator. If anyone can offer a solution to this problem please contact me at: amirsabreeisgod@hotmail.com

    Check the fuse for the fuel pump and the relay for the DME, if it has one. On my 964 the DME relay is often the culprit on a "sudden won't start".

    If you just get clicks or it acts like the battery is dead - then start looking at the ground straps on the engine and transmission.
