Am expecting delivery of my 599 GTO in August and just wanted to find out from owners out there how easy/difficult it is to drive in the wet. Had read on other forum to handle the wet with extreme caution. Is it really that bad if one drives sensibly even in the wet. I am now beginning to think if I made the right choice as where I am it always rains. Any feedback from fellow GTO owner's out there would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The major disadvantage of the GTO in the wet will be the UHP type tires which significantly increase aquaplaning risk. Apart from that the electronics on the 599/599GTO should provide for a high standard of driving safety.
In essence: (like for all sports cars and even all fast sedans with wider tires) the GTO should be driven very (!) slowly (100kph might even be too much in very heavy rain) upon the first signs of water forming a continuous film on the tarmac 
Congratulations on a fine automobile! I would take caution in the wet, but it's nothing too extreme if driven timidly. That's the nice thing about the GTO, when driven relaxed - it makes for a great cruiser. I drove the GT2 RS in the rain the other day and that was quite fun although a handful - plus I'm still alive 
Please post photos upon delivery! I didn't know they were still delivering cars this late into production.
